Personalised Nutrition for the Mind

Understanding biochemical individuality through genetic analysis has become increasingly popular in the health industry, enabling more personalised, naturopathic and effective approaches to physical and mental health.

Emma will discuss the importance of looking at genetics in context - considering gene-to-gene and gene-environment interactions. She will present examples of genetic variances that can affect neurotransmitter balance and demonstrate the need to understand the diverse root causes of anxiety and depression and benefits of a personalised nutritional approach over one size fits all medication regime.
