Dr Aviva Romm

Dr. Aviva Romm is a midwife, herbalist, and Yale-trained MD, Board Certified in Family Medicine with Obstetrics, who has been bridging the best of traditional medicine with good science for over three decades.

Her focus is on what she calls our total health ecology, utilizing exposome medicine to identify and reverse the root causes of chronic health conditions, particularly hormonal problems in women and common children’s health problems.

She is considered one of the world's leaders in botanical medicine and is the author of 8 books on natural medicine, including the textbook Botanical Medicine for Women’s Health (Elsevier) and Hormone Intelligence (June 2021, Harper One).

Dr. Romm is the author of the integrative medicine curriculum for the Yale Internal Medicine and Pediatric Residencies, is on numerous scientific advisory and editorial boards, and is a widely sought and highly engaging speaker.

Leah Hechtman

Leah holds an MSc in Reproductive Health Sciences and Human Genetics from the University of Sydney. She is a PhD candidate at the School of Women’s and Children’s Health at the University of New South Wales and also holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy.

Leah is the author of Clinical Naturopathic Medicine, a foundation clinical text integrating the traditional holistic principles of naturopathic philosophy with the scientific rigour of evidence-based medicine (EBM). This textbook is now a core resource for naturopathic teaching colleges globally.

In her clinical practice, she works in the area of male and female reproductive health and fertility disorders.

Lara Briden

Lara Briden (ND) first worked as an evolutionary biologist at the University of Calgary before qualifying as a naturopathic doctor from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1997.

She moved to Sydney and helped thousands of patients with period problems such as PCOS, PMS, endometriosis, and perimenopause

She wrote the bestselling book Period Repair Manual and her newest book, The Hormone Repair Manual focuses on supporting women transition through perimenopause.

She is currently an adjunct clinical professor at NUNM, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Bastyr University.

Dr. Hudson has been in practice for more than 30 years, is the medical director of her clinic, A Woman’s Time, in Portland, OR, and is the director of product research and education for Vitanica.  She is also the founder and co-director of Naturopathic Education and Research Consortium, a nonprofit for accredited naturopathic residencies.

Tara graduated from Perth Academy of Natural Therapies in 1996, and has over 20 years experience in the Natural health industry.

In 1998 Tara opened the Naturaliste Healing Centre in Dunsborough, a multi- disciplinary clinic including naturopathy, acupuncture, chiropractor, massage and physiotherapy.

Tara specialises in Thyroid health and runs practitioner training and mentoring courses on the subject to both Australian trained and international practitioners.

Dr Tina Doerfler

Dr Doerfler has been in private practice and teaching since 1989 in Seattle Washington. She graduated with a doctorate in Chiropractic from Western State Chiropractic College in 1989 and a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 1992. She has published articles in naturopathic research journals on Oxytocin and Neurofeedback.

Her practice combines naturopathic primary care with a strong focus on nutrition as curative. She has developed specialties in the NeuroEndocrine Axis starting with the brain and its messengers, the hormones. She also conducts non-entrainment Viz Medicatrix based EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback) training in the office as part of working with the brain.

Her clinical focus and expertise are in women’s hormone and gynaecological nutrition, at all life stages, with a particular expertise in Endometriosis, PCOS, menstrual cycle irregularities, perimenopause and adolescence.

Lorna is very passionate about supporting teenage girls through those extremely nutrition-critical years. Lorna regularly speaks on female health and nutrition to the public, professionals and trains medics and nurses.

Her clinical experience in Endometriosis, hormone balance and thyroid health were featured in an evidence-based peer reviewed functional medicine nutrition textbook. She is the annual nutrition speaker for the BGSE (British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy).

Where is the summit held?

We will be hosting the summit entirely online. You will get a log-in to access all the talks whether live or recorded!

Does this count towards CPD hours?

Yes absolutely! The entire summit will meet your entire CPD requirements (20 hours) and more! Certificates of attendance will be issued for each talk if you watch the whole thing.
