Sarita Devi Nahar

Ayurveda, Trauma and Nervous System Healing

Sarita Devi Nahar will explore the Ayurvedic perspective on the nervous system, with particular attention to the role of Vata in governing neurological function and the subtle regulation of the body-mind connection. She will discuss how acute or chronic trauma can disturb prana vayu and affect the pranavaha srotas, the channels of breath and life force, leading to imbalance that may become embedded in the tissues over time.

This talk will also consider how such disturbances are understood within Ayurveda and what approaches may help to restore balance, resilience, and coherence in the system. This session offers a thoughtful introduction to the intersection of Ayurveda, trauma, and nervous system health.
