Novel Foods Classification Update: Using Turkey Tail & Cordyceps in Clinical Practice

Update on the use of medicinal mushrooms, including turkey tail (Trametes versicolor) and cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris), in clinical practice following recent clarification around novel foods classification.

We know there has been understandable concern around this area for clinicians using them in practice.

However, we’re pleased to confirm that ANP Herbalists and Nutritional Therapists insured with Balens can continue to use these products in practice, provided the following conditions are met.
