Autism Decoded: Genes, Metabolism, and How Nutrition Improves Outcomes
with Richard G. Boles, M.D.
This in-person session offers a clinically grounded look at emerging insights into autism. Dr Richard G. Boles explores how genetics and metabolic research are identifying key pathways involved in autism, many of which are modifiable. The session highlights the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in shaping individualised treatment strategies, even when specialised testing is unavailable. Attendees will also learn how natural dietary supplement protocols have shown meaningful improvements in mitochondrial function and core autism features, including communication, socialisation, and behaviour, in placebo-controlled studies.

Learning Objectives:
- To explore how modern genetics and metabolicshave identifieda small number of key pathways as critical in the causes of autism, many of which are modifiable.
- To discover how knowledge of these pathways, especially mitochondrial dysfunction, can inform on support options in individual clients, including inthose without the benefit of specialized testing.
- To learn that products consisting of all-natural dietary supplements can significantly improve mitochondrial function and clinical outcomes in people with autism in double-blind, placebo-controlled studies. Significant, clinically-relevant, improvements were observedin all three core autism features: communication, socialization, and behavior.
