Description
Join us for a special ANP Book Club session with Patrick McKeown, author of The Breathing Cure, as we explore the powerful role of functional breathing in health and clinical practice.Â
In this evidence-informed and highly practical discussion, Patrick will outline how breathing patterns influence oxygen delivery, nitric oxide production, nervous system regulation, sleep quality, and cardiovascular health. Drawing on his work in the Buteyko method and decades of clinical experience, he will share simple yet transformative techniques that practitioners can integrate into client care immediately.Â
The Breathing Cure challenges the assumption that breathing is automatic and beyond influence, instead presenting it as a modifiable and foundational pillar of wellbeing. From asthma and anxiety to fatigue and exercise performance, the book highlights how correcting dysfunctional breathing patterns can have wide-reaching therapeutic impact.Â
This session offers a valuable opportunity to deepen your understanding of respiratory physiology, ask questions directly to the author, and consider how breathwork can complement nutritional, herbal, and lifestyle interventions in clinical practice. Â
