We are delighted to welcome Dr Malcolm Kendrick, author of The Clot Thickens, for a live Q&A Zoom session with the ANP Book Club on Thursday, 15 January 2026 at 7:00pm.
In The Clot Thickens, Dr Kendrick challenges the conventional cholesterol hypothesis of heart disease, presenting a compelling alternative view rooted in arterial damage, inflammation, and the body’s repair mechanisms. Drawing on decades of research, he explores why cholesterol may not be the villain it’s often portrayed to be — and what this means for understanding cardiovascular risk, atherosclerosis, and clinical practice.
Dr Malcolm Kendrick is a medical doctor, researcher, and author best known for challenging conventional thinking on cardiovascular disease and the cholesterol hypothesis, including through his other titles Statin Nation and Doctoring Data.
This is a thought-provoking read for practitioners interested in questioning established models and deepening their understanding of heart health, with Dr Kendrick joining us live to answer questions
