Representation in Europe – ANME Annual Report
ANME in Action Across Europe – Representing Natural Medicine Where It Matters
Over the past year, our partner group, Association for Natural Medicine in Europe (ANME) has continued to strengthen its voice and influence across Europe and internationally. Through active participation in high-level meetings, policy discussions, scientific congresses, and collaborative networks, ANME has ensured that natural medicine is represented wherever important decisions about health policy and healthcare are being made. A Strong Presence in European Health Policy
Throughout 2025, ANME representatives have been actively engaged with key European organisations, including the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA), ECHAMP, EFSA, and EU health policy forums. From discussions on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and mental health to pharmaceutical legislation and Health Technology Assessment (HTA), ANME has consistently contributed the perspective of natural and integrative medicine to important European conversations.
Championing Traditional Medicine
ANME has played a leading role in advancing recognition of Traditional European Medicine (TEM). Representatives participated in the UNESCO Working Group throughout the year, contributing to the ongoing work to preserve and promote Europe’s rich traditional medical heritage. This commitment was further strengthened through participation in the 3rd TEM Forum in Piacenza and ongoing collaboration with international partners.
Building Partnerships Across Europe
Networking remains at the heart of ANME’s mission. During the year, members represented the association at numerous congresses, assemblies, and professional meetings, including Interbiologica, the DNB Annual Assembly, the SIMILE Congress, the BDHN Congress, and the UDH Symposium. These events provided valuable opportunities to build relationships, share expertise, and strengthen collaboration across the natural medicine community.
Bringing Natural Medicine to the Global Stage
ANME’s influence extended well beyond Europe. The association was represented at the World Health Congress in Prague and participated in the Second WHO Global Traditional Medicine Summit, contributing to international discussions on the future of traditional and complementary healthcare. ANME also continued its collaboration with global initiatives celebrating the legacy of Rudolf Steiner and advancing integrative health.
Supporting Integrative Medicine
Regular participation in the Homeopathy and Integrative Medicine Roundtable, the TCIH Coalition, ECIM workshops, and a wide range of webinars and stakeholder meetings has ensured that ANME remains closely connected with developments across complementary, traditional, and integrative healthcare.
Working Together
ANP is proud to partner with ANME. Their participation in more than 35 meetings, conferences, congresses, and international events demonstrates ANME’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that natural medicine has a respected and influential voice in European and global health policy and that the ANP has a seat at the table in Europe.
