The Naturopathic Herbalist Approach

The ANP is the UK’s largest naturopathic association.

We provide practitioner training and support to ensure our members succeed in clinical practice.

The ANP promotes a naturopathic approach to herbal medicine. The Naturopathic Herbalist never prescribes herbs to ‘treat’ a symptom but looks at the underlying cause and the constitution of a client.

Our members must have a minimum of 500 clinical hours during their training and are required to meet 30 hours of continuous professional development annually to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of natural therapies and adhere to the ANP Code of Ethics.

What Our Members Say

I feel it is a great organisation. There is very good support I have been impressed.

Margaret Palmer, Naturopathic Herbalist

I love being a member of the ANP, there is so much offered to help me with as a herbalist! I’m able to stay-up-to date with CPD on different conditions, have a supportive community around me and I find the mentoring topics great covering all sorts of topics such as growing your business to client strategies.

Lara Abel, Naturopathic Herbalist

I became a member of ANP while studying Herbal Medicine at CNM and it’s been amazing support during my studies and now while I build my practice! Lots of CPDs to keep my professional skills, lately more in Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy, tools to help build my practice, mentorship and extensive contraindication database which is particularly useful for Herbalists. Joining ANP was one of the best decisions of my career after studying Herbal medicine!
